Gatekeepers for your phone.
A dwarpal (द्वारपाल) is the guardian at the door. We build open-source tools that check what comes in, warn you about scams, and keep your private data private.
LinkGuard
Check every link before it opens.
An Android app that sits between the links you tap in WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS and your browser. Safe links open straight away. If a link looks like a scam, you see one clear warning in English, any of India’s 22 official languages or five more languages, and you can still choose to open it.
Pre-release · Android 8 and up
How it works
-
You tap a link
In WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS, the way you always do.
-
LinkGuard checks it
In a split second, against the tricks scammers use and a daily-updated list of tens of thousands of known scam websites. It never saves or sends the links you open.
-
Safe links open straight away
In your own browser. If a link looks like a scam, you see a warning first.
